A new record is set for a Zebco Cardinal
4!
This reel was a very rare first version NIB.
There were 27 bids from Thailand, Canada, Italy, Germany and the USA.
The winning bidder was from Germany. The reel sold @ $306.02. I can’t
help but wonder if the bidders knew that this was a very rare first
version. Not many people know that there are 7 versions of this reel.

I can't help but wonder just how many sellers on the bay know or care
to know about copyright infringements? A Mitchell collectors Reference
Guide book by Dennis Roberts was listed and included in the sellers
description was my book review that was taken from this web-site
without my or Phil Whites permission. The seller was ask to remove
this from his listing immediately and he/she did. The book was # 275
of 500 and sold for $177.50. All you have to do is ask and in most
cases permission will be granted

Listed as a vintage Stanley Chalk-o-Matic fishing reel that was the
contractors chalk line shown to the right. The seller did state that he was not a fishing
reel expert, boy was he right. it sold for $.01 (cent) but I wonder
what the shipping cost was???

An extremely rare model 444 special tournament
reel in exc-condition. the reel was a greenish/gray color circa 1955
to 1958. One small problem, the color of these reels was changed to
a Black body/tan cup in late 1958 early 1959. the special tournament
reels were introduced in early to the mid 1960's HMM------- the reel
still sold for $936.00 |
